When the world’s first TEDSports Indianapolis launched, the goal was ambitious: Bring together sports, technology, and human connection in a way that felt immersive, personal, and memorable. At any major conference, moments happen everywhere at once. Attendees make tradeoffs constantly, trying to make the most of the moment. TEDSports wanted a way to give people access to more of the event than time and physical presence normally allow, and to make the experience something attendees could return to long after the final session ended. Spokenote became the connective layer that made this possible.
TEDSports Indianapolis marked the world’s first TED event dedicated entirely to sports, bringing together leaders and athletes to explore how sports shape innovation and human connection. Hosted in Indianapolis, the event created a global platform for ideas that highlight sports as a force for social impact, technological progress, and shared human experience. The challenge for TEDSports Indianapolis was to create an event experience that lived up to the significance of the moment and matched the scale of ideas being shared.
Each credential badge delivered rolling behind-the-scenes video updates throughout the conference. As new content became available, the experience evolved without requiring reprints, apps, or downloads.
Additional Spokenote codes placed throughout the venue connected attendees to a shared behind-the-scenes hub. Speaker interviews, daily recaps, and attendee insights all lived in one destination, unfolding in parallel with the events of the day.
Event tickets became interactive. Attendees could upload their own photos, pair them with music, and create personal digital keepsakes tied directly to their TEDSports experience. These tickets became living records of participation.
Spokenote’s platform is designed for both connection and measurement.

The result was strong engagement from attendees and a sense of ongoing connection that continued after the event closed.
Our TEDSports use cases aren’t the only ones in the Spokenote event playbook. Now, Spokenote allows you to pair event touchpoints with dynamic video, transforming single-moment events into experiences attendees can revisit, share, and stay connected to over time. Spokenote makes it possible to deliver video experiences that evolve with your event and adapt to your audience, all from one campaign. It’s as simple as uploading your audience, recording a few variable clips for each group, and then enjoying the one-click merge to get thousands of variable personalized videos that serve up content as unique as your audience segments. For events, what matters most is how much of the experience attendees can access, how meaningful that experience feels, and how long it continues to deliver value after the date of the event has come and gone. Spokenote helped TEDSports Indianapolis create an event attendees could experience more fully and revisit anytime. Ready to do the same?
