How is this different from a QR code?

At its core, a our links and any associated codes point to a webpage. Scan the code or click the link… arrive at a Spokenote page. But the magic happens after the link is accessed:

  • Record or upload video directly to a custom video page–no web dev needed.

Platform & capabilities

What types of content can I link to a Spokenote page?

Spokenote supports video content as the primary media type. Users can either upload a pre-recorded video or record directly in the platform. Once the video uploaded to your Spokenote page, you supply your link to your recipients as a link or a QR code, and page visitors will experience your content through a clean, distraction-free landing page (no ads or external clutter), ensuring your message stays front and center.

Access methods are flexible: your video page can be opened via QR code, direct URL, or even embedded in digital channels – whatever works best for your campaign.

Can Spokenote be used on physical items and digital channels?

Absolutely. Spokenote works wherever you want to engage people. You can place Spokenote links and codes on physical formats like stickers, packaging, signage, name badges, postcards, or direct mail. Spokenote experiences can also be embedded across digital channels like email, SMS, and retargeting. This enables marketers and teams to connect with their audience anywhere, driving consistent experiences across touch-points.

How long can my videos be?

The standard length of a video is up to 5 minutes*. This timeframe was chosen deliberately to balance impact and attention. It’s the sweet spot for staying personal and powerful–long enough to deliver meaningful content, short enough to keep attention. Need more time for a longer story? No worries. We’ve got custom options, so let’s talk.

*Max video length: While up to 5 minutes is the standard, this can be customized for enterprise level clients.

Can I reuse a link / code or update the video later?

Yes! If you are a platform user, your links and codes can support content replacement. This way, you can update the video content anytime without needing to reprint, resend, or change the original code or URL. This is especially useful when you’re using a single code across multiple physical touch-points (like posters or displays.) Just swap in the new content, and your audience will always see the most up-to-date version.

Note: While codes can point to fresh content, resetting a page isn’t currently available to users directly. Our team can handle resets if needed, and a self-serve reset option is coming soon.

Can I track performance?

Absolutely. Spokenote provides real-time analytics so you can monitor performance across metrics like video views, engagement rates, and conversion activity. Reporting can be segmented across campaigns or even down to the individual level when using personalized codes or contact integrations.

Do I need technical skills?

Not at all. Spokenote is built to be plug-and-play, with a simple, intuitive interface that anyone can use. If you know how to scan a QR code, or click a link, you’re already a pro. There’s no coding or design work required, and if you’re running a bigger campaign, our team is ready to help you with onboarding, setup, and strategy.

How much does it cost?

Spokenote offers different pricing packages based on your usage, volume, customization needs, and feature set. Whether you’re sending 100 or 100,000, we’ll work with you to create a plan that fits your budget and scale.

Using codes & video pages

What are the various ways I can use these codes and video pages in my materials?

Spokenote allows you to create powerful video experiences in both directions–sending and receiving videos. Each code/link is connected to a Spokenote video page.

You can use Spokenote to send a video to one person (1-to-1), to a group (1-to-many), or at scale with individualized analytics (1-to-many + analytics). This makes it easy to deliver personal outreach, campaign-wide content, or targeted video pages with performance tracking.

Our QR codes/video pages can also receive content. Your page can collect video submissions into a private library, capture personal memories tied to events or keepsakes, or let users store photos and videos on printed items like tickets or merchandise. Whether you’re building engagement, gathering feedback, or turning moments into momentos, Spokenote gives you flexible video capabilities that work anywhere.

I scanned the code or clicked the link that took me to my Spokenote page, and added a video. Now how does someone access that video?

Believe it or not, they scan the same code or use the same link. Since there is a video attached to your video page now, they will be taken right to your content. No apps, no logins, no friction for the people visiting your page. The video opens immediately in the viewer’s mobile browser. Depending on your Spokenote package options, you may have access to read receipts, analytics related to page views, metrics on your call to action buttons, and more!

What happens if someone scans the same code twice?

If your video page is unclaimed (that is to say, if the page does not have a video uploaded yet), the first scan will take you to an interface that allows you to record or upload a video. Once your video is attached, it’s locked in, and opens your video every time. Depending on your Spokenote package options, you can have the Spokenotet team replace videos anytime for you.

Do I need an account to use it?

No account is needed to access an existing video page and upload. However, for our platform customers, who have more advanced plans with analytics, we’ll work with you to create an account that supports successful deployment of our tech.

Can I see who viewed my video?

Yes, Spokenote includes robust view tracking and engagement analytics. For campaigns using personalized video pages or embedded contact records, you can see how many views your videos has received or how many times your call to action buttons have been clicked. In some cases, you can track this same data to individuals. This data gives you actionable insights into your audience’s behavior, helping you follow up at the right time with the right message.

Support & troubleshooting

I have a broken link / code. What should I do?

If a code isn’t scanning or the page isn’t loading, try again in a few minutes. It may just be a temporary connection issue or browser hiccup. Still stuck? Our support team is ready to help. You can reach us directly at support@spokenote.com or use the “Report Issue” link at the bottom of all access pages inside the Spokenote web platform to open a support ticket.

My video won't upload or play. Help?

Uploading issues are often caused by slow internet, unsupported file types, or outdated browser settings. Double check your connection, refresh your browser, and confirm that your video is in a supported format (like .mp4 or.mov). If your video still won’t upload or play, our team can troubleshoot quickly. Just send us a note at support@spokenote.com with a description or screenshot. We’ll get it fixed fast.

How fast does your support team respond?

We aim to respond to all support inquiries very quickly. For urgent issues (like major disruptions or campaign deadlines), add “URGENT” in the subject line and we’ll prioritize your ticket. We know your time matters and we’re here to help you move fast.
